About the Speaker
Henry Laxdal oversees the Program Management Office Directorate acquisition management activities and is responsible for acquiring and delivering leading edge technology and infrastructure in support of U.S. Border Patrol operational requirements.
Previously, he served as the division chief in the Policy and Compliance Division within the Strategic Planning and Analysis Directorate, U.S. Border Patrol headquarters. In this position he led the facilitation of national policy and was the principal advisor for audits, inspections, and investigations of internal and external government oversight entities.
In 2019, Laxdal served as patrol agent in charge of El Cajon Station, San Diego Sector. In this role, he provided senior leadership for a diverse team of more than 325 employees responsible for securing 10 miles of international border. He directed all operational and administrative decisions including the formulation, prioritization, and execution of a complex operating budget totaling more than $1.5 million.
Laxdal holds a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Saint Leo University and a Master of Arts in Strategic Security Studies from the National Defense University. He also holds a War College Diploma in International Security and Combatting Terrorism from the College of International Security Affairs.
